hildene is the estate of abraham lincoln's only son's summer home in vermont. while the estate is mainly a historical place to visit, the visitor center also rents snowshoes and cross country skis so you can walk the trails across the grounds in wintertime to visit their goat farm. it just so happened to be 'kidding' season while we were there and once at the goat farm we discovered a barn full of momma goats and their babies. what surprised me was how domesticated they were. there were half a dozen women there who stay with the goats around the clock until each baby goat is born. what was truly amazing was seeing the goats acknowledging their helpers, walking up to them and nudging them for attention. it was the sweetest thing, as if they were saying, thanks for being here.
to share a part of your world or just see more of others, please go to "that's my world tuesday". a big thanks to klaus for hosting with his team of helpers, sandy, wren, and sylvia.

SO sweet! Is this why we decided to call our children "kids"?
Sweet is right! It looks like the barn was very nice.
Perfect timing, very sweet capture.
What a wonderful experience for the helpers, especially when the moms appreciate it.
The little one is adorable.
