yesterday morning the frost on my car windshield was amazing. the sunrise helped as a backdrop as I attempted to take it's picture. it's not the greatest picture, but one still worth sharing. if you'd like to gaze at more wondrous skies from all around the world orif you'd like to add your own sky, please visit the skywatch friday meme, thanks to klaus and his team, sandy, wren, and sylvia.
Not the greatest photo?! It is fabulous. The detail and shapes of the frost etching in the foreground with the watercolor wash effect of the rising sun, sky, tree in the background. Beautiful! Glad you took the pic; and especially glad you shared it.
It's a wonderful photo, just perfect with the fabulous shapes of the frost in full focus and the sunrise in soft focus behind -- a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise photo. -- K

oh, I like this very much. and I especially like that you tell in your header how long and wide Long Island is. I've been fascinated with it since reading The Great Gatsby as a young girl. It remains one of my favorite novels. But I digress. I love the mood of your photo. and the light of just at sunrise.
That's from your car window? Amazing. It almost looks artificial. I mean, it almost looks like someone deliberately decorated a window with snowflakes to look that way. Wonderful shot, love the colors and low light.
Love the frost on the windshield--really interesting shot. I'm new to blogging and really enjoying getting started. Come visit my blog sometime--I'm sure I'll be back to yours to see more of your lovely work. Mickie
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

A lovely shot with its wash of color from the sunrise. It has been a long time since I have seen ice crystals on the window.
Great shot. Now I have to go back and catch up with your posts!
Happy New Year!
it's an exceptional photo!
at first I thought the frost was an effect you added
beautiful
The picture is fantastic. Love the "ice flowers" on the windshield illuminated by the sun.

Really good capture. It is difficult to find days with great ice and enough light behind it to see them. Good for you!
Jack Frost painted on your car window Lily! So pretty!
I'm in agreement with everyone—this picture is awesome!
