maybe if I indulged in some ice cream I would have remembered the name of this place in rockville centre. I was so full from dinner I just couldn't - even if I wanted too. two hours later I was thinking of my friend eating a giant cone covered in chocolate sprinkles. she said it was delicious, just like homemade. I guess I will have to revisit and report back here when I do!
Thanks Spookie, my friend (that ate the giant ice- cream cone) told me it's relatively new. it's across the street from the movie theatre (that is still open). I wish I knew the street name but I'm not that familiar with RVC. I will definitely be going back again before the Summer is over.
E-mail some to ol' «Louis» when you do! It will be an easy choice as to which flavor to send him. He only likes 2 kinds of ice cream: home-made or store-bought.
A chandelier in an ice cream parlor? Why not? We recently saw a crystal chandelier in a McDonald's on the Gran Via in Madrid! these lighting fixtures always add a touch of class and charm to any setting.
Some guys would rub their mother-in-law's feet for a Klondike bar. Well, I'd drive to Long Island to share some ice cream with you in that parlour, Lily. Maybe someday.
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Do you know what street it was on? I know a few of the places since I live 5 minutes away :) I just can't seem to pin that interior!

Oh, yes, please return....if their ice cream is as 'delicious' as this chandelier....
ha, one of my college boyfriends grew up there. Nice town.
I love pressed tin ceilings. They are relatively cheap and give an instant look to a place.
I envy your cone!
Amazing chandelier! Ice Cream is certainly deserving of such a lavish interior.
Well, gosh now, if that isn't the prettiest thing!!
Very fancy!

I'm in RVC more and more these days, please do let us know where it was if you remember! :)
Is it The Creamery, on Park Avenue? (Love that chandelier!)
I probably wouldn't be able to resist! Especially if their decor is as nice as this chandelier.
Kinda trippy.... I dig it.
I didn't know there was a Rockville Centre in New York - I'm more familiar with the one in Maryland, near DC. Still, good ice cream is universal.
Actually, I think the full name is Five Pennies Creamery—if that's the place.
