though it wasn't our first "snow" it was our first snow storm. people actually left work early hoping to avoid a hazardous rush hour. some schools canceled classes in anticipation of the storm. others had early dismissals. I was lucky to be able to fit all my long distance driving in early in the day before it got icy. I took this photo while exiting the gas station. I was actually hoping to get a shot of the dunkin donuts across the street when this truck drove by blocking the building entirely. doesn't this look like a town out in the country somewhere?

What a snow!
Very beautiful picture, Lily.
Our school bus was late so we were standing outside the school for 10 minutes freezing while everyone else was going home. Other than that, the snow was all very pretty and nice when you looked out the window during class. - Jen
It does look countryfide. Pretty snow.
whew, how white everything is!
I really love these snowy images (tho it's not so nice to be outside).
Hi Pietro, thank you!
I am sorry to hear of your frozen dilemma Miss Jen...
Hi Bobbie, I'm glad you like it.
Kitty, has the snow melted in Brooklyn?
No question that it is winter over there! Looks very, very cold and country-ish!
Yikes, it looked like you guys got it worst than we did in Queens.
